A LOGISTICIAN IN CHARGE OF THE WAREHOUSE

A warehouse logistician is responsible for the efficient management of logistics operations, storage and distribution of products within the company.

He/she supervises receiving, storage, order preparation and shipping activities, ensuring that procedures are followed and quality and lead time objectives are met.

MAIN MISSIONS:
• Stock management: Supervise the receipt, control and storage of goods. Ensure inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet operational requirements.
-Logistics Planning: Develop and implement effective logistics plans to optimize product storage, handling, and distribution processes.
• Order Management: Coordinate order preparation and ensure that products are shipped on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
• Staff Supervision: Supervise and train store staff to ensure optimal performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
-Cost control: Track logistics-related expenses and propose cost optimization measures while maintaining high service levels.
• Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product availability and negotiate supply terms when necessary.
• Inventory management: Ensure inventory accuracy by regularly checking and adjusting as necessary.

SKILLS:
• Strong logistics management and inventory management skills.
- Mastery of inventory management software.
-Ability to meet strict deadlines.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills to supervise store staff.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in warehouse management.
- Ability to read and interpret order tracking documents

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-Previous experience in a similar position would be a plus
-Certification in inventory management or logistics would be an asset.
-Manual B licence – Essential
-Knowledge of electricity would be a plus
