For sale is PainKiller, a 1997 Beneteau Oceanis 381 cruising sailboat measuring approximately 38 feet (11.5 meters).

PainKiller offers a spacious and comfortable interior with two private cabins, two bathrooms with showers, a large dining area, and a fully equipped galley.

An independent marine survey was completed in August 2026. The vessel was assessed to be in fair overall condition. The surveyor described the exterior as well maintained and the interior as being in satisfactory condition, with no visible signs of water intrusion. The underwater portion of the hull was not inspected.

The engine started and ran normally during the August 2026 survey. The surveyor recommended routine servicing. The exact engine hours are unknown.

Condition and Repairs Required:

I want to be completely transparent about the condition of the boat.

The August 2026 marine survey identified the keel bolts as requiring replacement before significant sailing.

A separate professional rigging inspection was completed in October 2026. This inspection identified cracked fittings on several sections of standing rigging, corrosion damage to the starboard backstay, and a compromised chainplate. The inspector recommended replacing all standing rigging before serious sailing.

The inspection also identified a damaged traveler lead block and aging mainsail track.

Other maintenance and safety equipment updates are recommended in the marine survey.

These items have been professionally inspected, and I have repair quotations available for both the keel bolts and standing rigging.

The asking price of $20,000 reflects the current condition of the vessel and the repairs that need to be completed.

The boat is being sold in its current condition and should not be considered ready for extended sailing until the recommended safety repairs have been completed.
